WHY YOU SHOULD SHOP VINTAGE

To me, there is nothing worse than turning up to a party only to find four people wearing the same dress as you (though in my case, it's usually a two-piece, lets be honest here). It's one of those dramatic moments where your world stops and starts to move in slow motion, you desperately scan the room for a jacket to save you from the party guests realisation of you being an outfit twin...and fail. 

Contrary, there is nothing better than turning up wearing a piece of clothing that has a story behind it. "Where did you get your top from Grace?" "Oh this old piece (literally), I actually bought it from a little market stool in France, apparently it was the Women's own garment that she wore in the 60's". 

That's right, not only can nobody ever find that piece- goodbye copycats! But you are wearing a piece of history, each piece of vintage clothing has something special about it - and that's what excites me about vintage clothing. I'd like to add however, that this doesn't mean I have anything against new clothing either, I'm as much of a sucker for a new Tommy Hilfiger Urban Outfitter Exclusive than the next person, but there is something special about Vintage clothing.

Lots of people assume that vintage clothing is dirty, smelly and bad quality - and I must say I do keep away from vintage jumpers because most of them do look a little worse for wear and I have read an article about bugs being found in a Vintage jumper -eugh!!! But man are Vintage jackets/ shirts/ tailored trousers amazing! Just give vintage clothing a chance, and it will pay off, I promise. 

Let's finish this post by playing a game, guess which Item of clothing in first photo above is 21 years old and which one is 3 years old. (the 21 years old one is such better quality!).
